Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work Ohne Titel (Furniture Island) by Matthew Darbyshire was auctioned at VAN HAM in September 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had set an estimate of EUR 3,000.00, but failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 967.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Matthew Darbyshire achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled: Shelves No.5 (and 3 details) in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,671.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit Ohne Titel (Furniture Island) von Matthew Darbyshire im September 2015 bei VAN HAM versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung jedoch nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 967,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Matthew Darbyshire erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled: Shelves No.5 (and 3 details) im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.671,79).
