Auction result well in line with expectations
The work American Elm, Central Park, New York, 2011 by Mitch Epstein was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,667.35) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Mitch Epstein have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Amos Coal Power Plant, West Virginia from American Power in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 55,993.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit American Elm, Central Park, New York, 2011 von Mitch Epstein kam im September 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.667,35) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
