Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2000 Christies in London held the auction Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Miroslav Balka. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,987.50 (€ 15,831.42), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Miroslav Balka - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 180 X 40 X 142, which sold at auction in April 2018 for EUR 60,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Miroslav Balka zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.987,50 (€ 15.831,42) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Miroslav Balka mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 180 X 40 X 142 beobachtet, die im April 2018 für EUR 60.000,00 versteigert wurde.
