Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,968.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,800.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Miquel Barceló achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Faena De Muleta in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 3,961,250.00 (€ 4,382,386.82).

Die Arbeit Lanzarote - 2002 - une planche von Miquel Barceló kam im November letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.968,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.800,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Miquel Barceló erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Faena De Muleta im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.961.250,00 (€ 4.382.386,82).
