Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Variant by Mikhail Shvartsman was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2011. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,025.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mikhail Shvartsman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yaroe Oko [Avid Eye|AID115808] in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 192,000.00 (€ 284,633.11).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.025,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mikhail Shvartsman erzielen.
