Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ladya by Mikhail Shvartsman was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection auction at Sothebys in London in December 2021. The price achieved of GBP 63,000.00 (€ 75,145.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mikhail Shvartsman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Yaroe Oko [Avid Eye|AID115808], which sold at auction in February 2007 for GBP 192,000.00 (€ 284,633.11).
