Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Teen by Mike Bouchet was auctioned at Phillips in New York in February 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,952.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mike Bouchet - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lincoln Pooh, which sold at auction in February 2015 for GBP 31,250.00 (€ 43,089.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Teen von Mike Bouchet kam im Februar 2016 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.952,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Mike Bouchet mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lincoln Pooh beobachtet, die im Februar 2015 für GBP 31.250,00 (€ 43.089,11) versteigert wurde.
