In October 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Jackson Pollock By Mike Bidlo by Mike Bidlo. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,710.00 (€ 9,195.50), 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mike Bidlo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Not Picasso (Bather with Beachball, 1932) in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,260,000.00 (€ 1,174,168.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jackson Pollock By Mike Bidlo von Mike Bidlo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.710,00 (€ 9.195,50) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mike Bidlo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Not Picasso (Bather with Beachball, 1932) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.260.000,00 (€ 1.174.168,30).
