Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Intérieur d’un salon by Mihály Munkácsy was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Christies in New York in October 2015. The price achieved of USD 395,000.00 (€ 357,725.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 350,000.00 – 450,000.00. Other works by Mihály Munkácsy have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2003 the work The Two Families was auctioned for USD 662,700.00 (€ 570,850.20).

Die Arbeit Intérieur d’un salon von Mihály Munkácsy wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 395.000,00 (€ 357.725,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 350.000,00 – 450.000,00 angegeben worden.
