Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Travellers by Mick Rooney was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in February 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,160.00 (€ 3,202.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Mick Rooney have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2005 the work Haberdasherland was auctioned for GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,243.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Travellers von Mick Rooney wurde im Februar 2007 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.160,00 (€ 3.202,12) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Mick Rooney konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2005 die Arbeit Haberdasherland für GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.243,03) versteigert.
