Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Frugal Supper by Mick Rooney was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in March 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 990.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Mick Rooney have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Haberdasherland in March 2005 with an auction result of GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,243.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Frugal Supper von Mick Rooney wurde im März 2011 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 990,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mick Rooney auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Haberdasherland im März 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.243,03).
