Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait D'Homme Dans Un Ovale Feint by Michiel van Musscher was sold in the Old Master & XIXth Century Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in March 2019. It changed hands for a price of EUR 3,900.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michiel van Musscher achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Interior With A Young Girl, Seated At A Table Covered With An Indian Carpet And Reading A Letter, Attended By A Negro Page in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 456,000.00 (€ 350,823.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait D'Homme Dans Un Ovale Feint von Michiel van Musscher wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion Old Master & XIXth Century Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 3.900,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michiel van Musscher erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Interior With A Young Girl, Seated At A Table Covered With An Indian Carpet And Reading A Letter, Attended By A Negro Page im Januar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 456.000,00 (€ 350.823,20).
