Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work A Peasant Offering Poultry To A Lawyer by Michiel van Musscher. The price achieved of GBP 74,500.00 (€ 85,129.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michiel van Musscher have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Interior With A Young Girl, Seated At A Table Covered With An Indian Carpet And Reading A Letter, Attended By A Negro Page in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 456,000.00 (€ 350,823.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Peasant Offering Poultry To A Lawyer von Michiel van Musscher zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 74.500,00 (€ 85.129,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michiel van Musscher auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An Interior With A Young Girl, Seated At A Table Covered With An Indian Carpet And Reading A Letter, Attended By A Negro Page im Januar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 456.000,00 (€ 350.823,20).
