The price achieved of GBP 584,750.00 (€ 652,491.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michele Marieschi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Venice, The Bacino Di San Marco Looking Towards The Palazzo Ducale And The Piazzetta in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 2,210,500.00 (€ 2,788,135.51).
