Auction result fails to reach estimate
In April this year a collector was able to acquire the work The Piazza San Marco seen from the side of the Basilica, looking towards church of San Geminiano by Michele Marieschi for DKK 1,550.00 (€ 207.93). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, furniture and varia at Bruun Rasmussen and was even lower than the DKK 3,000.00 estimate set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michele Marieschi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venice, The Bacino Di San Marco Looking Towards The Palazzo Ducale And The Piazzetta in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 2,210,500.00 (€ 2,788,135.51).

Im April diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Piazza San Marco seen from the side of the Basilica, looking towards church of San Geminiano von Michele Marieschi für DKK 1.550,00 (€ 207,93) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb des vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreises von DKK 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michele Marieschi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Venice, The Bacino Di San Marco Looking Towards The Palazzo Ducale And The Piazzetta im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.210.500,00 (€ 2.788.135,51).
