Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Venice, a view of the Grand Canal with the Rialto bridge and the Palazzo dei Camerlenghi by Michele Marieschi was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January last year. The price achieved of USD 504,000.00 (€ 449,518.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michele Marieschi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Venice, The Bacino Di San Marco Looking Towards The Palazzo Ducale And The Piazzetta in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 2,210,500.00 (€ 2,788,135.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Venice, a view of the Grand Canal with the Rialto bridge and the Palazzo dei Camerlenghi von Michele Marieschi kam im Januar letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 504.000,00 (€ 449.518,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michele Marieschi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Venice, The Bacino Di San Marco Looking Towards The Palazzo Ducale And The Piazzetta im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.210.500,00 (€ 2.788.135,51).
