Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Venice, A View Of The Grand Canal With Ca' Pesaro And Palazzo Foscarini-Giovanelli, From The Campiello Of The Palazzo Gussoni by Michele Marieschi was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 372,500.00 (€ 326,439.40). Admittedly, works by Michele Marieschi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Venice, The Bacino Di San Marco Looking Towards The Palazzo Ducale And The Piazzetta in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 2,210,500.00 (€ 2,788,135.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Venice, A View Of The Grand Canal With Ca' Pesaro And Palazzo Foscarini-Giovanelli, From The Campiello Of The Palazzo Gussoni von Michele Marieschi im Juni 2017 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
