The work Architectural Fantasy With A Staircase In A Courtyard; Architectural Fantasy With Double Height Gothic Arches by Michele Marieschi was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2015. The price achieved of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 44,302.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michele Marieschi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venice, The Bacino Di San Marco Looking Towards The Palazzo Ducale And The Piazzetta in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 2,210,500.00 (€ 2,788,135.51).
