Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Souffles dans le verre - Transparent by Michel François was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in February 2014. The price achieved of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 37,913.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Other works by Michel François have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2008 the work Souffles dans le verre was auctioned for GBP 49,250.00 (€ 62,776.08).
