Sold at the lower estimate price
In April 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work 'Kog' Occasional Table, From The Limited Edition Collection by Michael Young. The result of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,781.28) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Young - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pair of PETITE SERGENT ceiling pendants, which sold at auction in July 2020 for HKD 62,500.00 (€ 6,847.72).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Kog' Occasional Table, From The Limited Edition Collection von Michael Young zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.781,28) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Young mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pair of PETITE SERGENT ceiling pendants beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für HKD 62.500,00 (€ 6.847,72) versteigert wurde.
