Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work 'Night # 4', 2005 by Michael Wolf. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,217.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Michael Wolf have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tokyo Compression Revisited, 2012 in November 2019 with an auction result of EUR 47,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Night # 4', 2005 von Michael Wolf zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 9.217,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Wolf auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tokyo Compression Revisited, 2012 im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 47.500,00.
