Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Architecture of Density #119 by Michael Wolf was auctioned at Phillips in London in May 2018. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,351.22) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Wolf - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tokyo Compression Revisited, 2012, which sold at auction in November 2019 for EUR 47,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Architecture of Density #119 von Michael Wolf kam im Mai 2018 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.351,22) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Wolf mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tokyo Compression Revisited, 2012 beobachtet, die im November 2019 für EUR 47.500,00 versteigert wurde.
