In April 2016 Christies in London held the auction First Open | London, which included the work Muscle Power by Michael Landy. The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,834.89) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michael Landy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work H.2.N.Y. Tinguely Machine Erases its own Construction in 27 Minutes in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 25,853.47).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im April 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open | London durch, in der auch die Arbeit Muscle Power von Michael Landy zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.834,89) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Landy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit H.2.N.Y. Tinguely Machine Erases its own Construction in 27 Minutes im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 25.853,47).
