Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work H.2.N.Y. Suicide Carriage Breaks Down On Its Way To Maillols by Michael Landy. It changed hands for a price of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,504.49) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Other works by Michael Landy have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2015 the work H.2.N.Y. Tinguely Machine Erases its own Construction in 27 Minutes was auctioned for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 25,853.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit H.2.N.Y. Suicide Carriage Breaks Down On Its Way To Maillols von Michael Landy zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 16.504,49) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Michael Landy konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Februar 2015 die Arbeit H.2.N.Y. Tinguely Machine Erases its own Construction in 27 Minutes für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 25.853,47) versteigert.
