This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art - Day Sale at Artcurial in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 4,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Heizer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Track Painting in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 1,109,000.00 (€ 982,546.29).

Die Arbeit Actual Size: Empty Paint Cans - 1978-82 von Michael Heizer war einem Käufer im Juni 2021 EUR 14.300,00 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art - Day Sale bei Artcurial in Paris erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 4.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Heizer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Track Painting im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.109.000,00 (€ 982.546,29).
