Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2016 Christies in New York held the auction FIRST OPEN| Home, which included the work Horse #23, C. 1999 by Michael Eastman. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,750.00 (€ 1,536.44), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Eastman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Isabella's Two Chairs with Laundry, 2000 in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 22,100.00 (€ 28,112.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion FIRST OPEN| Home durch, in der auch die Arbeit Horse #23, C. 1999 von Michael Eastman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.750,00 (€ 1.536,44) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Eastman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Isabella's Two Chairs with Laundry, 2000 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.100,00 (€ 28.112,17).
