Auction result misses estimated price range
In December this year a collector was able to acquire the work Telc, Czech Republic by Michael Eastman for USD 409.60 (€ 370.28). This price was achieved in the auction The Gift of Photographs at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Eastman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Isabella's Two Chairs with Laundry, 2000 in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 22,100.00 (€ 28,112.17).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Telc, Czech Republic von Michael Eastman für USD 409,60 (€ 370,28) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Gift of Photographs bei Bonhams in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Eastman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Isabella's Two Chairs with Laundry, 2000 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.100,00 (€ 28.112,17).
