A top price for Michael Eastman - as previously expected
In May 2008 Christies in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Isabella's Two Chairs with Laundry, 2000 by Michael Eastman. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,100.00 (€ 28,112.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Isabella's Two Chairs with Laundry, 2000 is the most expensive artwork by Michael Eastman that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Isabella's Two Chairs with Laundry, 2000 von Michael Eastman zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 22.100,00 (€ 28.112,17) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Isabella's Two Chairs with Laundry, 2000 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Michael Eastman, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
