In January 2009 Christies in New York held the auction Open House, which included the work June Black & White by Michael West. The »bidding war« ended at USD 27,500.00 (€ 21,477.66), 53% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Michael West have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 7 and 8 in May last year with an auction result of USD 176,400.00 (€ 164,383.56).

Im Januar 2009 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Open House durch, in der auch die Arbeit June Black & White von Michael West zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 21.477,66) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael West auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 7 and 8 im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 176.400,00 (€ 164.383,56).
