Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of GBP 938.00 (€ 1,053.49) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Cardew - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A 'River' Pattern Plate, which sold at auction in November 2011 for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,502.19).
