Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work „Painting“. by Michael Burges was auctioned at Grisebach in June 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,464.00. Other works by Michael Burges have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November this year by the work "Soft Structure - P. (Interferences)". at EUR 2,640.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit „Painting“. von Michael Burges im Juni 2013 bei Grisebach versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.464,00 den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Michael Burges wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im November diesen Jahres die Arbeit "Soft Structure - P. (Interferences)". mit EUR 2.640,00.
