Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work in the meantime...V by Michael Brown for USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,867.98). This price was achieved in the auction The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Brown - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Resting In The Dunes, which sold at auction in August 2006 for GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,706.86).

Im Oktober 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit in the meantime...V von Michael Brown für USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.867,98) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Brown mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Resting In The Dunes beobachtet, die im August 2006 für GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.706,86) versteigert wurde.
