Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Michael Armitage achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March last year. In the Modern & Contemporary Day Auction auction, the work without title sold for GBP 37,800.00 (€ 44,816.15) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Armitage achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Conservationists in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 1,520,000.00 (€ 1,379,435.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michael Armitage erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Day Auction wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 37.800,00 (€ 44.816,15) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Armitage erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Conservationists im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.520.000,00 (€ 1.379.435,52).
