This work without title by Michael Armitage was sold in the Modern and Contemporary African Art Online auction at Sothebys in London in March 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,292.05), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 43%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Armitage achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Conservationists in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 1,520,000.00 (€ 1,379,435.52).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Michael Armitage wurde im März 2020 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art Online bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.292,05) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 43%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Armitage erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Conservationists im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.520.000,00 (€ 1.379.435,52).
