Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Snake Charmer by Michael Armitage was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in October 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 32,760.00 (€ 38,811.75). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Armitage achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Conservationists in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 1,520,000.00 (€ 1,379,435.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Snake Charmer von Michael Armitage wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 32.760,00 (€ 38.811,75) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Armitage erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Conservationists im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.520.000,00 (€ 1.379.435,52).
