Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2002 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work A spring bouquet by Melle. The price achieved of EUR 822.50 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 700.00 – 900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Melle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A bird on stilts in June 2003 with an auction result of EUR 10,755.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2002 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit A spring bouquet von Melle zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 822,50 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Melle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A bird on stilts im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.755,00.
