Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The artists' sister in memoriam by Maxwell Ashby Armfield was auctioned at Bonhams in London in July this year. The price achieved of GBP 5,760.00 (€ 6,720.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maxwell Ashby Armfield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Madison Square Park, New York in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 102,000.00 (€ 151,362.87).

Die Arbeit The artists' sister in memoriam von Maxwell Ashby Armfield kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.760,00 (€ 6.720,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maxwell Ashby Armfield erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Madison Square Park, New York im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 102.000,00 (€ 151.362,87).
