Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still life with a bunch of grapes and vine leaves in a chinoiserie bowl by Maxwell Ashby Armfield was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,320.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maxwell Ashby Armfield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Madison Square Park, New York in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 102,000.00 (€ 151,362.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still life with a bunch of grapes and vine leaves in a chinoiserie bowl von Maxwell Ashby Armfield kam im Juni 2010 bei Christies in London zur Auktion.
