Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Winter Night Landscape (Two Tall Pines) by Maxfield Parrish was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2017. The price achieved of USD 399,000.00 (€ 335,350.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maxfield Parrish achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hilltop in November last year with an auction result of USD 6,660,000.00 (€ 6,451,612.90).
