Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Village School House by Maxfield Parrish. The price achieved of USD 884,000.00 (€ 792,896.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 700,000.00 – 1,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maxfield Parrish have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hilltop in November last year with an auction result of USD 6,660,000.00 (€ 6,451,612.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Village School House von Maxfield Parrish zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 884.000,00 (€ 792.896,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 700.000,00 – 1.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maxfield Parrish auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hilltop im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.660.000,00 (€ 6.451.612,90).
