In October 2010 Phillips in New York held the auction PHOTOGRAPHS, which included the work Stocking Olympic Boulevard, Hollywood by Max Yavno. The result of USD 4,000.00 (€ 2,878.94) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Max Yavno have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Muscle Beach in October 2012 with an auction result of USD 28,750.00 (€ 22,187.07).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2010 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion PHOTOGRAPHS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Stocking Olympic Boulevard, Hollywood von Max Yavno zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 2.878,94) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Max Yavno auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Muscle Beach im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.750,00 (€ 22.187,07).
