Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Night View from Coit Tower, San Francisco by Max Yavno was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,024.00 (€ 925.69). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Max Yavno achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Muscle Beach in October 2012 with an auction result of USD 28,750.00 (€ 22,187.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Night View from Coit Tower, San Francisco von Max Yavno im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.024,00 (€ 925,69) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Max Yavno erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Muscle Beach im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.750,00 (€ 22.187,07).
