Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Streichquartett (String Quartet) by Max Oppenheimer was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2019. The price achieved of USD 93,750.00 (€ 85,080.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Max Oppenheimer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Zahnarzt (The dentist), which sold at auction in February 2020 for GBP 237,500.00 (€ 275,263.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Streichquartett (String Quartet) von Max Oppenheimer wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 85.080,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Max Oppenheimer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Zahnarzt (The dentist) beobachtet, die im Februar 2020 für GBP 237.500,00 (€ 275.263,04) versteigert wurde.
