It achieved a price of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,465.25), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Max Frintrop; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot »Touché». sold at auction in November 2018 with the realized price of EUR 9,675.00.

Die Arbeit Untitled (Styx 2) von Max Frintrop kam im September 2017 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.465,25) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Max Frintrop; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit »Touché». im November 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 9.675,00.
