The work Havasu II by Max Cole was auctioned at Phillips in New York in February 2019. It achieved a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,477.72), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Max Cole; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Mirage. 1986. sold at auction in June this year with the realized price of CHF 24,700.00 (€ 25,279.05).

Die Arbeit Havasu II von Max Cole kam im Februar 2019 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.477,72) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Max Cole; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Mirage. 1986. im Juni diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von CHF 24.700,00 (€ 25.279,05).
