The work LAL by Max Cole was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in New York in May last year. It achieved a price of USD 10,200.00 (€ 9,505.17), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Max Cole - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mirage. 1986., which sold at auction in June this year for CHF 24,700.00 (€ 25,279.05).

Die Arbeit LAL von Max Cole wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 10.200,00 (€ 9.505,17) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Für andere Arbeiten von Max Cole mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mirage. 1986. beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für CHF 24.700,00 (€ 25.279,05) versteigert wurde.
