Upper estimate price exceeded by 43 %.
The work The 1:6 Scale Wrong Gallery by Maurizio Cattelan was sold in the Evening & Day Editions auction at Phillips in London in June last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,142.00 (€ 2,488.39), 43% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurizio Cattelan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Him in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 17,189,000.00 (€ 15,436,910.64).
