Auction result well in line with expectations
In January this year Bonhams held the auction Prints & Multiples | Live Online, which included the work Rayon des Soieries by Maurice Dufrêne. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,020.00 (€ 939.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurice Dufrêne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work ENSEMBLE DE QUATRE APPLIQUES, LE MODELE CREE EN 1937, EDITEES PAR LA MAITRISE in September 2017 with an auction result of EUR 27,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Prints & Multiples | Live Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rayon des Soieries von Maurice Dufrêne zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.020,00 (€ 939,40) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maurice Dufrêne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ENSEMBLE DE QUATRE APPLIQUES, LE MODELE CREE EN 1937, EDITEES PAR LA MAITRISE im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 27.500,00.
