Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings, which included the work Erminia, Princess Of Antioch by Mattia Preti. Here, the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 62,500.00 (€ 56,033.71). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mattia Preti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work David Playing The Harp Before Saul in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 2,169,000.00 (€ 1,461,491.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Erminia, Princess Of Antioch von Mattia Preti zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 62.500,00 (€ 56.033,71) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mattia Preti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit David Playing The Harp Before Saul im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.169.000,00 (€ 1.461.491,81).
