The work Mask (Concentric Self) by Matthew Monahan was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May 2014. The result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,328.45) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matthew Monahan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Morning Thaw, which sold at auction in May 2008 for USD 92,000.00 (€ 59,125.96).

Die Arbeit Mask (Concentric Self) von Matthew Monahan kam im Mai 2014 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 18.328,45) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Matthew Monahan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Morning Thaw beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für USD 92.000,00 (€ 59.125,96) versteigert wurde.
